Industry Update : Turck - RFID

RFID is a critical identification technology which is extremely sturdy, and doesn't rely on optics and labels that need to be kept clean.

RFID also requires less precise presentation of the tag than a barcode, has a larger data carrying capacity, and can detect tags inside cartons and through some other materials.

Turck’s range of RFID systems are designed for industrial applications including product identification, provision of machine operation access and component tracking throughout processes.

They are also suitable for inventory control, connection monitoring, quality control and line clearance.

Turck’s solutions cover two different methods of utilising RFID. For customers who want to arrange software and integration, Turck provides hardware only (readers, tags, connectivity and controllers).

For fully integrated solutions, Turck suggests suitable integrators and for larger projects, the complete Turck Vilant solution focuses on software.

Turck has IP20 network controllers for installation in cabinets or robust IP67/69k variants for the harshest field environments.
