Product development is a key success factor for local profiling machine builder Farley Laserlab.
In 2007 Farley Laserlab released new control systems on, both; the laser product range and the drilling/plasma/oxy cutting range. Both systems are focused on increased machine performance and easy user interface, featuring touch screens. These systems are also available to existing customers for retrofit upgrades.
As well as control system upgrades; Farley LaserLab released two new laser models; the high performance linear motor driven Contour LM 3015 (1.5m x 3m) and the Contour LM 4020 (2m x 4m) and a new drilling and plasma cutting machine the Fabricator XRP and a new plate processing system the Kratos. The Kratos is a new concept for Farley Laserlab; it features a plate pushing system with a fixed cutting table and conveyor for parts retrieval. The benefits of a system like the Kratos are found in the controlled handling of the cut parts from the machine to stillage, the control of offcut/waste material to scrap bin and the eliminating of the OH&S issue of personnel on the cutting table.
Farley’s ongoing success is attributed to its design and engineering department where the ethos is to build machines that are both mechanically and structurally superior to anything that is available on the market today. Farley LaserLab listen to customers and build machines to suit their requirements, as shown in the creation of the Kratos system. When our systems are benchmarked against the best we consistently out perform in processing more tons of steel per day, with greater parts accuracy and superior cut edge finish.
At a time in Australia when skills shortages are impacting the manufacturing sector Farley are developing and building systems that can alleviate some of the bottlenecks caused by these shortages. Our increasing emphasis is on value adding to the traditional profile cutting machine and reducing time spent on material handling leading to greater return for your investment.
At Austech we will be located on Stand A14 and will have on display the new controllers along with one of our Plasma systems the “Magician”. The Magician is our successful Hy-Performance mid sized machine located around Australia in diverse applications.
Come and see why Farley Laserlab are still the Number 1 Australian manufacturer of Plate Processing systems.
