True-rms Digital Multimeters (DMMs)

By Fluke Australia

Fluke Australia - Specifically designed for electricians, HVAC specialists and field service technicians

Fluke Australia today announced the launch of a new family of four true-rms digital multimeters (DMMs) designed to meet the requirements of specific application areas.

1. The Fluke 117 multimeter is designed specifically for electricians and is suited for use in commercial settings such as buildings, hospitals and schools.

Features of The Fluke 117 multimeter include:

  • VoltAlertTM non-contact voltage detection – a technology designed to quickly sense the presence of AC voltage, eliminating the need to carry another tool
  • Visual indicators to determine proper grounding
  • Auto-V automatic volts detection, eliminating guesswork by automatically determining AC/DC voltage
  • A new low impedance (LoZ) input function to help prevent false readings due to ghost voltage.

2. The Fluke 116 multimeter is designed for heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) specialists. It has a built-in thermometer and microamps measurement capability designed to help professionals quickly troubleshoot problems with HVAC equipment and flame sensors.

Features of The Fluke 116 multimeter include:

  • LoZ function to help prevent false readings due to ghost voltages
  • Measurement of superheat and subcooling
  • Capability to troubleshoot the defrost control on a heat pump
  • Temperature surveys

The Fluke 117 and 116 are available in combo kits providing a complete solution.

3. Fluke 115 multimeter is designed for field service technicians. It is ideal for use in the field due to its wide variety of electrical and electronic testing-applications.

Features of Fluke 115 multimeter include:

  • Resistance, continuity, frequency, capacitance, and diode testing
  • Compact ergonomic design for one handed use
  • A new low impedance (LoZ) input function to help prevent false readings due to ghost voltage.
  • Large white LED backlight to work in poorly lit areas or dark environments.

4. Fluke 114 multimeter is designed for quick electrical troubleshooting. It is ideal for technicians that need a tool to make a quick ‘go/no go’ decision.

Features of Fluke 114 multimeter include:

  • Auto-V automatic volts detection, eliminating guesswork by automatically determining AC/DC voltage
  • Resistance and continuity
  • A new low impedance (LoZ) input function to help prevent false readings due to ghost voltage
  • Large white LED backlight to work in poorly lit areas.

All four models are CAT III 600 V safety rated, and feature large white LED backlit displays and compact design for one-handed operation.

John Piperides, sales program manager, Fluke Australia said, “Fluke Australia is committed to providing tools that are designed specifically with the technician’s needs in mind. The new Fluke family of DMMs provides a complete solution to the different applications that technicians require.”
