Summit Matsu Chillers part of Prime Ministers official opening of new ANSTO reactor

Scientific process chillers from Australian chiller company Summit Matsu Chillers (Summit Matsu) were part of the installation that the Prime Minister John Howard officially opened at the Australian Nuclear Science and Technology Organisation (ANSTO) last week.

The Summit Matsu process water chiller is used for autoclave cooling and temperature regulation as part of the sterilisation in the radiopharmaceuticals division.

“Our range of process water chillers for scientific applications are increasingly being chosen by high profile organisations for their accuracy of supply temperature and high quality of reliability” said General Manager Daniel Rollston. “Other high profile customers in this area include Schering Plough pharmaceuticals and optical lens companies Essilor and Hoya – where reliability of supply temperature was critical to winning multiple orders with both companies. We have taken the experience gained on projects such as chillers for the optical fibre extrusion plants for Alcatel and translated this into our regular chiller range” said Rollston.

The company also supplies process chillers specifically designed for hospital steriliser cooling, air conditioning systems, as well as other specialist applications.
