Roland plays sweet music for the environment

Well-known music instrument supplier, Roland Corporation, is striking the right chord with environmentalists by recycling their waste cardboard.

Using the HSM Profipak 400 Cardboard Shredder from local distributor, Renz Masterbind, allows them to convert their waste cardboard boxes into useful, practical, packaging material.

John Bousefield, Roland’s assistant Sydney warehouse manager says: “We use the Profipak every day to create packaging material to protect our equipment.

“It is easy to use and it saves us about $130 per week by replacing the foam packing beads we used to buy.

“That’s a saving of about $6,760 per year.

“It also reduces the waste collection costs by using up all the waste cardboard boxes that normally just get thrown in the skip and collected each week.

“We are very happy to be recycling and saving money at the same time”, said John.

The Profipak comes in two versions Profipak 400 and Profipak 450.
