Redfern Flinn expands its Aussie network

Leading Melbourne crane company, Redfern Flinn Lifting Equipment, has expanded into NSW.

The company has opened an office in both Riverwood and Newcastle, as a first step towards fulfilling its long-term growth strategy.

The push into NSW will allow the company to gain a foothold into the State’s sizeable crane market to help accelerate growth.

“Our two new offices provide direct access to the NSW crane market which is significant. While providing crane solutions to a broad range of industries, the Newcastle office will also focus on the mining sector given its physical proximity to this market,” says Stephen Batten, Managing Director of Redfern Flinn.

Redfern-Flinn has been operating for over 35 years in Victoria, and has a proud history with a strong record of crane sales and service.

It features an extensive product range, which includes overhead, monorail, jib, rotary sling and wire rope cranes, electric chain hoists and vacuum lifting equipment.

The company draws its client base from a wide variety of industries including automotive, chemical, manufacturing, food processing, mining, transport and utilities, health as well as entertainment.

It has developed a strong reputation as an expert in the design, supply and servicing of cranes, hoists and vacuum lifting equipment.

NSW based businesses can now directly leverage Redfern- Flinn’s expertise in customised crane design, manufacturing, supply, installation as well as maintenance and industrial crane training.

The company provides quality solutions that meet time and budget requirements.

The move into NSW will also allow Redfern-Flinn to better service the needs of its existing Victorian customers, many of whom already have operations in both States.

“Staff on-the-ground in NSW means that our customers will benefit from a higher level of service, quicker response times and faster delivery of new products,” says Mr Batten.

Redfern-Flinn delivers a 24 x 7 service as standard. Its mobile A-Grade electrical service technicians and qualified fitters provide a 24-hour emergency breakdown service.

Individuals with extensive experience in the crane industry spearhead both offices.

Peter Bonselaar and Ken Oberg, who between them have 70 years experience in materials handling, head the Riverwood office.

Jenni Biggers is responsible for the Newcastle branch, located at Beresfield.

“Our local capability in NSW will deliver tangible benefits to all stakeholders and reaffirms our commitment to being a leading industrial crane and materials handling supplier,” says Mr Batten.
