Salvagnini has introduced a new L1Xe laser cutting system, representing an important milestone for the company.
The new laser is one of the first in the machine tools sector to offer a system with a fibre source.
This new technology boasts a number of particularly interesting functions and features.
The use of fibre allows consumption to be reduced by 50 per cent and efficiency to reach about 25 per cent – considerably more than is possible with CO2 sources.
Fibre laser source technology also simplifies the machine’s architecture, making for a more compact layout and a more straightforward and reliable system.
It also broadens its sectors of application, with the ability to cut highly reflective materials such as brass and copper.
