Accuweigh’s Melbourne branch recently supplied metal detction equipment to a specialty snack food manufacturer based in Dandenong. The metal detction equipment inspects coated fruits and nuts which are packed into 10kg cartons and 20kg bags for selling nationally through supermarkets.
The metal detction equipment is manufactured in full stainless steel with both audible alarm and conveyor stop on detection of contaminates. A custom engineered two metre long conveyor with a 400mm wide modular belt will be used to deliver product to the metal detection scanning head.
Metal detection equipment is now almost a mandatory requirement for all areas of food production to ensure raw ingredients do not contain contaminates or that mechanical failure of equipment in the production line doesn’t cause contamination issues in the finished products.
Accuweigh’s latest generation metal detction equipment has multi-frequency scanning ability which allows for much higher sensitivity levels for detecting contaminates over a multitude of products in various pack sizes and configurations.
Accuweigh is Australia’s largest weigh packaging company and has branches in all mainland states offering complete after sales service and support on metal detection equipment, x-ray food inspection systems and high speed checkweighers.
