Integrated Packaging Group (IPG) have expanded its green initiatives to include the use of a range of products in its polyethylene manufacturing plants, sourced from Integrated Recycling (IR) the group’s newest addition.
IR (formerly Ausplaztik) is based in Mildura and recycles waste polyethylene and polystyrene to produce a range of engineered endurance products including bollards, round posts and poles, garden and tree stakes, continuous planks and decking, seating and picnic tables to name a few.
Rob Archibald, GM sales and Marketing said IPG have replaced disposable timber pallets and timber pallet divider boards with equivalent plastic recycled products.
The next step will be the replacement of PVC plastic cores, used in some of IPG’s agricultural and industrial stretch films, with
recycled plastic cores manufactured at IR.
“We are leading the way with our development of lower gauge, higher performance
films across our range of stretch, shrink, pallet wrap and mulch films for the industrial and agricultural markets, says Mr Archibald.
“This saves customers money and significantly reduces waste to landfill.”
