Cleanscene quenches thirst for knowledge

The second Cleanscene Cleaning & Hygiene Expo, held in Melbourne early April, was a resounding success from every point of view, according to National Cleaning Suppliers’ Association national president Gerry Goldberg.

"History was made. No cleaning show has ever attracted over 100 exhibitors or even come close to that. With almost 110 stands, Cleanscene presented a gigantic cross-section of every aspect of cleaning and hygiene," stated Goldberg.

The NCSA, as show sponsor, organised a seminar to run on all three days of the Expo. "Again, record numbers with approximately twice as many attending as did those in Sydney. This certainly suggests that there is a great thirst for knowledge among the cleaning community and the nine sessions of the CleanScene seminar obviously appealed to that thirst," observed Goldberg.

In the larger stand, over 18 sq metres category, Hako Australia was awarded the best stand on show with an honourable mention to Central Cleaning Supplies.

Hako managing director Frank Cupido commented, "Our investment in CleanScene this year was an investment into the local Victorian market, which is an important and growing segment for us.  We received good inquires throughout the three days and our team was energised by the response we received. The Best Stand Award was the icing on the cake."
