Chubb Fire Safety Chooses Branach Step Platform

Chubb Fire Safety has chosen the Branach step platform to reduce risks associated with working at heights. Chubb’s National EHS/Training Manager Gary Grant played a role in the decision making process.

According to Gary, the quality and robust nature of the Branach platform, the compliance to the Australian Standard, an industrial load rating of 150 kg and the availability of a rear safety rail which fully encloses the platform as the reason for selecting Branach step platform.

Chubb carry out a wide range of services associated with the maintenance of buildings and their technicians need to be able to access equipment at various heights. The nation wide roll out has seen step platforms supplied over the entire range of sizes from the smallest 0.6 m through to 3.6m platform height allowing access to work over and above 5.5m.

Working at heights regulations around Australia are placing additional requirements on employers to provide safe working systems. The Branach step platforms are seen as a cost effective way to provide a safer work place and comply with the regulations.
