VENTURI VALVES SPEED HYDRAULIC CYLINDER PERFORMANCE

Enerpac now offers venturi valves that can improve the reaction speed of single-acting, spring and load-return cylinders by up to three times. This leads to significant time-savings and improvements in workplace efficiency.

Both manual and electric venturi valves are available. They work by creating a vacuum-like effect in a pump system, drawing the oil from the cylinder back to the pump’s reservoir at a much faster rate.

According to Enerpac National Sales Manager Darryl Lange: “Venturi valves are an excellent choice for improving the efficiency of high tonnage cylinders used throughout Australia, New Zealand and Papua New Guinea. They are also highly compatible with Enerpac’s new long-stroke telescopic cylinders used in confined spaces for efficiency and safety.”

The retraction speed of a load return cylinders can be a problem because once the load is removed from the cylinder the plunger does not fully retract on its own. A venturi valve addresses this issue and provides an ideal solution for applications in a broad range of industries.

Venturi valve retrofit kits are available to upgrade most existing Enerpac pumps.
