VACUUM UNITS EXPAND BULK HANDLING

Exair has expanded its air operated 316 stainless steel Threaded Line Vac conveyor product line with the addition of new smaller and larger sized units. The 316SS Threaded Line Vac system converts an ordinary pipe into a powerful inline conveying system for food products, pharmaceuticals and other bulk materials.

Available from Compressed Air Australia, versions are now available with NPT threads for use on 3/8 NPT to 3 NPT pipes. The units have large throat diameters to maximise throughput, and are designed to be attached to plumbing pipe couplers, sanitary flanges and other pipe fittings.

The 316SS Threaded Line Vac conveyors work by ejecting a small amount of compressed air to produce a vacuum on one end with high output flows on the other. The response is instantaneous, and regulating the pressure of the compressed air enables infinite control of the conveying rate.

Threaded Line Vacs are available in a variety of materials, including aluminium and abrasion resistant alloy. The durable Type 316 stainless steel units resist corrosion and contamination and can withstand temperatures up to 204°C. Nine sizes are now available.

Applications include gas, grain or ingredient sampling, parts transfer, hopper loading, scrap trim removal, tablet transfer and packaging.  Other styles and sizes are available to suit hoses or tubes.
