Ultimate in steel plate component production

15-02-2010

Flexibility in a heavy steel fabrication workshop can be an important consideration.

In Australia with our high tech industrial sector, projects are often bespoke and required at short notice.

The twin gantry Gemini CNC plate processing and profiling machine can perform many operations that traditionally required several machines and a large workforce.

Built to exacting standards in Italy by FICEP the machines offer advanced options such as bevelling plasma torch cutting plus high speed drilling, milling and tapping all in one machine. The ability to optimise floor space by combining several processes into one machine can have many benefits especially where workshop space is at a premium. Added benefits include reduced handling and faster processing of parts allowing your skilled workforce to concentrate on fabricating the job or project to a high quality, on time and on budget.

The gantry style machines are available in a range of sizes to suit your requirements from standard plate widths of 2.5m up to 4m wide. Standard length capacity is 6.5m with options available to any length as required.

The larger machines can be equipped with a second spindle and cutting head, further improving productivity. For heavy plate, high capacity oxy-cutting heads can be equipped.

Additional advantages also include the ability of the machine to use all of the plate with

intelligent clamping and positioning systems built in.

Parts can be marked before final cutting ensuring fast layout and enabling the production of components for different projects from a single plate.

With many installations around the world and several machines already installed in Australia, Ron Mack Machinery are the exclusive suppliers of FICEP machines in Australia.
