Fluke Ti480 thermal imaging camera

The latest addition to the Fluke thermal imaging camera range available from RS Components is a rugged handheld device that will enable maintenance staff to identify and diagnose potential problems before they become expensive failures. Ideal application areas for the Fluke Ti480 include checking the temperature of motors, looking for hot spots in electrical installations, and checking for leaks in concealed pipework.

The Ti480 features a clear 640 x 480-pixel display and incorporates a built-in laser distance meter to pinpoint the spatial location of the target. It includes a novel routine called MultiSharp, which provides automatically focused images throughout the field of view.

The display enables visible and infra-red images to be shown simultaneously, and an annotation system allows additional details such as voice annotations to be saved to a file.

The unit is packaged in a rugged housing with a one-handed pistol-style grip that enables fast point-and-shoot troubleshooting. It works as part of the wireless Fluke Connect system, and comes with the Fluke Connect SmartView desktop software.

Ready-calibrated wide-angle and telephoto lenses are also available for use with the Ti480 imager, which is available now now from RS in the EMEA and Asia Pacific regions.
