Tennant Company has recently launched the T17 battery powered ride-on scrubber and the upgraded S30 mid-sized sweeper, to complement its full line of cleaning solutions.
These innovative, high performing products are designed to tackle the harshest environments while reducing the cost to clean and providing a safe facility for your employees and customers. The T17 is available with the largest battery of its class, offering continuous cleaning of up to 8 hours on a single charge.
The S30 is the industry’s only sweeper with a 3-stage filtration system equipped with a cyclonic pre-filter. These additions are expected to be strong sellers in the manufacturing market and undoubtedly will set new standards in cleaning.
T17 Battery Powered Ride-on Scrubber
The T17 is the optimal scrubber for increased runtime and productivity. Available with the largest battery size in its class, the T17 offers up to 8 hours of continuous cleaning. Combined with a substantial 285L solution tank and a large cleaning path of up to 1,320mm, you spend more time cleaning and less time draining and refilling.
The T17 is equipped with patent-pending technology for excellent water recovery that reduces slip and fall hazards in your facility. Achieve exceptional water recovery, even on turns, with Tennant’s Dura-Track swinging rear squeegee, high performance dual vacuum fans and Tennant’s new water trap technology.
The T17 also comes standard with a full wrap around steel bumper and front soft cushion rollers to protect the machine and your facility from unintentional impacts. Optional extras such as the rear squeegee guard and the Falling Objects Protection (FOP) certified overhead guard, further protects your operator and facility.

S30 Mid-sized Sweeper
Tennant’s popular S30 mid-sized sweeper has been upgraded with the optimised SweepMax Plus Dust Control System, to increase performance and dust control in heavy industrial applications. The upgraded filtration system effectively controls fine dust and collects all types of debris found on the ground to ensure a virtually dust free floor surface.
Tennant’s S30 is the only mid-sized sweeper with a cyclonic pre-filter. This means less dust reaches the filter, resulting in fewer shake backs, increased filter life, and more time spent sweeping.
SweepMax Plus Dust Control System
The first stage of the SweepMax Plus Dust Control System deposits 60 percent of the dust picked up off the floor into the hopper using a Perma-Filter. This stage slows down the air so the suspended dust falls into the hopper. From this stage, only 40 percent of the original dust moves through to the next filtration stage.
At the second stage, the dust enters the cyclonic filter and is directed into multiple “cyclones” forcing the air to spin downwards. Once the air reaches the bottom of the cyclone, the dust falls into the hopper and the air is pushed back up through the centre of the cyclone continuing on to the nanofiber filter. About 75 percent of the dust is removed at this stage, leaving only the smallest particulates that represent less than 10 percent of the original dust. This stage significantly reduces the amount of dust that enters the nanofiber filter, allowing for greater sweep time between filter shake backs.
The final stage incorporates a Donaldson Ultra-Web nanofiber filter which traps dust as small as 0.5 microns on the outside surface and stops the dust reaching the inner filter. When the surface of the filter becomes dusty, the filter is shaken aggressively to dislodge the dust, which falls back into the hopper.
New to the machine upgrade is a ThermoSentry heat sensor located in the path of the system airflow from the hopper to the vacuum fan. This senses the air temperature passing through the vacuum fan and shuts off the fan if the temperature exceeds 70˚C. This upgraded feature helps prevent fire if the debris in the hopper ignites, protecting the operator and the facility. The nanofiber filter is also UL-Certified flame retardant to increase safety.
