The Serstech 100 Indicator handheld Raman spectrometer can identify any solid or liquid chemical substance in seconds. Applications include police and fire departments, bomb squads, border control, hazmat teams, chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear readiness teams, prison authorities, pharmaceutical companies and environmental protection agencies.

The sample does not need to be removed from its container and will not be affected in any way by the analysis. The spectrometer is lightweight (650g), safe and easy-to-use, insensitive to water and quick and easy to decontaminate. It has a rechargeable battery lasting more than eight hours.

All libraries have been created or validated by Serstech’s chemists using the Serstech 100 Indicator. Every substance has the relevant GHS hazard pictograms, CAS numerical identifier and in many cases rich text explaining the properties of the substance. All information is easy to understand and provides instant feedback and support for decisions. Updates of software and substance libraries are included, and users can create libraries and add their own substances using ChemDash software.

The spectrometer can identify more than 14,000 substances, including military and civilian explosives, narcotics and psychotropic substances, hazardous or toxic chemicals or materials, chemical warfare agents and pharmaceuticals.

Measurements can be exported to a PC or the cloud for further analysis and the creation of reports. User accounts can be managed and user privileges set to secure the chain of evidence. The interface is designed to be used while wearing protective gear, and features intuitive colours and symbols.
