The white board: a symbol of creativity, creation, ideas and collaboration. In today’s technologically driven society everything is getting a facelift, that be including the good old white board.
In a new revolutionary way of looking at collaboration and team work, the SMART board is here to shape the way that we look at note taking and meetings.
During the CeBit exhibition SMART Board showed off their new line of SMART boards: The Kapp iQ, with 55”, 65” and 75” Ultra HD displays.
Unlike traditional whiteboards, these boards allow for touch access on the whole board that can be written on with specialised markers, and can double as a desktop computer.
The new SMART board allows for unlimited work space in a confined space as you are able to zoom in and zoom with the familiar pinch function to expand and retract your work space.
The new Kapp iQ also allows users from all over to collaborate on a session, with it’s intense collaborative function the board can allow for up to 250 participants on a single session, in real time, and they don’t even have to be in the office to do it.
This is all part of the device integration, with the ability to jump into, save, and continue a session on any mobile device, the new board boasts the ability no other whiteboard can.
The integration of Skype on the meeting pro versions also allows for easy access to interview and conference technology.
But let’s say you’re not a fan of techy pens writing on virtual boards. Along side the Kapp iQ, the dry erase boards mix the digital with the old school.
With the same use of a normal whiteboard, the dry erase series allows you to draw, make notes, and brainstorm the same way you could on a whiteboard, but then have everything you drew turned into an electronic copy that you could then save on any device.
