Available now from imaging specialist Scitech, the IDT X-Stream XS-720p slow-motion camera delivers continuous frame streaming via the PCI express 2.0 x4 interface. The unit boasts a sustained transfer speed of 1.75Gbyte/s, and so is ideal for high-speed industrial inspection and packaging applications.

The camera’s flexible design enables the delivery of better than 1700fps at full resolution (1280 x 720 pixel). It is compact in outline, offers plug/record/play operation, needs no frame grabber and is equally at home in desktop applications.

Advanced features include frame to frame auto-exposure and motion triggering. The onboard Motion Monitor application operates the cameras with features that include always-on live, record while saving and on-demand play-back from disk.
