Selecting the right system at the right price is the key
Linear slide systems are available for almost every conceivable piece of machinery and equipment that you can think of.
The hardest part is selecting the right system at the right price.
T.E.A. Transmissions is a specialist in this field and can assist with making the right decision.
The range includes:
Precision round shaft – used mainly as a raceway for ball bushes, track rollers and plain bearings. Selecting quality materials and high tolerance finishes
provides long service life and reduced maintenance.
Trapezoidal thread and nuts – offering high strength and ease of machining and assembly. Typically these threads are found where large loads or accuracy is required as in vices, where the thread is used to supply compressional holding force, or the lead screw of a lathe where the thread is used to convert rotational motion into linear motion. Trapezoidal thread is ideal where back drive is undesirable, such as in hand operated machine tools.
Ball Screws – These have a threaded shaft that provides a spiral raceway for the ball bearings housed in the nut. This combination provides a precision screw to enable controlled rotational motion to be converted into linear motion. These are ideal for computer controlled motion control systems such as CNC machine tools.
Single edge 90„a track and guidewheels, such as the DualVee range offers an economical alternative to many slide systems while at the same time providing accuracy and long life when assembled and maintained with due care.
This system is also available as stainless steel/washdown versions suitable for the food industry.
LinRace is new to the Linear Slide World but is proving popular and affordable.
The recirculating ball system blocks can achieve precision linear motion and long life, and are well worth considering.
Other systems available are: double edge track with spacer foot; rack driven track; curved track; heavy duty track or complete motor driven systems.
