Responding to demand for compact manoeuvrability in limited spaces, the Genie GS-1330m scissor lift will soon be available in Australia, and will be on display at HIRE19 in Melbourne from May 22nd to 23rd 2019.

Heavy-duty and rental-ready, this new micro-sized scissor lift is suitable for use in space-restricted or congested locations, as well as facility maintenance tasks.

The GS-1330m weighs only 885kg and offers a maximum platform height of 3.75m and a maximum working height of 5.75m, with a two-person, 227kg capacity. It is equipped with platform load sensing, which alerts operators when they have overloaded the platform.

“Low-level access is a growing segment in the aerial access industry, with increasing pressure to replace ladders with safe, productive alternatives including applications beyond the typical job site, such as industrial and institutional facilities,” says Kurt Kinder, Genie National Sales Manager for Terex AWP Australia.

“Additionally, the growing need for productive solutions in low-floor loading applications is driving innovation in lightweight product segments. The new Genie GS-1330m scissor lift is specifically designed to meet the needs of our customers in the ever-changing mobile elevated work platform market. As it weighs less than 1,000kg, it can access job sites previously off-limits to heavier slab scissors and vertical mast lifts.”

The GS-1330m has an efficient, all-electric DC drive system for getting around indoor job sites with a quiet, zero-emissions operation, and industry-leading runtime ensures full-day productivity in a compact package.

It can be driven at full height and in the stowed position, and can climb slopes up to 25%, which delivers exceptional job site accessibility and transportability.

It incorporates the Genie Smart Link control system, offering a familiar interface, as well as fully proportional lift and drive control for precise positioning in the work environment.

“The Genie Smart Link control system simplifies troubleshooting with onboard, easy-to-read and user-friendly machine adjustments and diagnostics, and it is compatible with the Genie Tech Pro Link hand-held diagnostic tool,” adds Kinder.

Designed with the operator in mind, the GS-1330m is equipped with side-by-side platform guard rails for easy deck extension and retraction. It is engineered with diamond plate platform flooring, which provides a durable, long-life gripping surface. With the link stack centred under the platform, the operator is provided with a stable feel and optimal comfort while working at height.

Swing-out service trays allow for unobstructed access to all machine components, including the hydraulic and electrical systems, simplifying service and maintenance and ensuring machines can get back into action faster.
