Used successfully in European refrigeration systems for decades, EDUR centrifugal pumps have finally arrived in Australia. Available now from Hydro Innovations, the latest line of EDUR refrigerant pumps provides safety, reliability and efficiency, even at high loads and extreme temperatures.
EDUR refrigerant pumps can be used with ecologically harmless refrigerants including CO2 and ammonia, as well as a range of synthetic refrigerants and those containing hydrocarbons.
Magnetic couplings hermetically seal the refrigerants used in EDUR’s pumps from the atmosphere. This allows for a spatial separation between motor and pump that avoids heat transference into the pumped liquid, benefiting the system’s energy balance.
EDUR’s pumps use diffuser devices to extend coupling life, with either open impellers or closed balanced impellers to compensate for radial forces. Designed with very low NPSH, they can be used on refrigerants operating close to boiling point. The pumps can also handle a certain level of gas content due to the diffuser design.
The EDUR range does not require seals and does not use the pumped fluid to cool the motors, something designers and asset owners will recognise as a major benefit. The pumps feature pulsation-free, low-noise operation along with reduced maintenance cost and high operational safety.
The EDUR pumps are available with flows to 600m3/hr, pressures to 40 bar and temperature ranges from -50 degrees up to 220 degrees C.
Situated in Kiel, Germany, EDUR Pumpenfabrik has manufactured quality centrifugal pumps since 1927. For more information, contact Hydro Innovations.
