QUIETER, STRONGER AND FASTER TO FILL

The igus E2.1 series of energy chains is a complete, ready-to-connect solution offering more installation space, easy filling and assembly, and a long service life. This new generation of the two-piece chain was developed to improve on the preceding E2/000 series, which has proved its worth for over 15 years.

The E2.1 series is available in inner heights of 10, 15, 26, 38 and 48mm, and offers extremely fast filling from the side or top, along the inner or outer radius, using a chain opener or screwdriver. One metre of the chain can be opened in just two seconds. Due to these features, it is ideal for use in general engineering, the woodworking and metalworking industries, and machine tool construction.

A special design feature is the unique lens-shaped brake at the stop-dog of the chain links. This ensures a chain travel with low vibration and noise, up to 10dB quieter than the E2/000.

In addition, E2.1 chains have an optimised interior offering more space with the same outer height than the E2/000. To match the design of the interior of the chain, Treotham offers a complete interior separation range consisting of lean separators with rounded edges for a long service life of hoses and cables.

The assembly of the interior separation with lean separators is up to 50 per cent faster than previous solutions, ensuring even faster harnessing. For side-mounted applications there are notch separators that engage in a narrow integrated grid in the crossbar and guarantee a secure fit.

The E2.1 is also equipped with a QR code integrated directly into the chain, which gives the machine builder access to information online, including assembly instructions and how to identify and order spare parts, with just a quick scan by a smartphone or tablet.

In addition to the E2.1 range, these e-chains are also available as enclosed energy tubes in the R2.1 range.
