Combilift’s Combi-PPT has been nominated as one of three finalists in the warehouse truck category of the international Intralogistics and Forklift Truck of the Year (IFOY) Award, one of the most prestigious and hotly contested international awards in the materials handling industry. From a large pool of applicants, just 15 products have been shortlisted.

The Combi-PPT is a high-performance pedestrian-operated powered pallet truck with a range of capacities up to 16,000kg, which enables safe and secure transportation of very heavy loads without the need for a ride-on forklift. Its features, including a unique, patented multi-position tiller arm, ensure optimum visibility of the load and surroundings for the operator and guarantee maximum safety in busy production plants where other personnel may be present. Its manoeuvrability enables efficient and productive operation in confined spaces.

In early March, the finalists will undergo a thorough audit and innovation check by industry experts in Hanover, Germany. They will also be evaluated for technology, design, ergonomics, safety, marketability, customer benefit and sustainability by a jury of 29 journalists and editors from leading logistics media across 19 countries on four continents.

“We are delighted to be one of the ‘chosen few’ for this important award and we look forward to demonstrating the capabilities of the Combi-PPT to the judging panel in March,” says Combilift Managing Director Martin McVicar. “We are naturally hoping for success in our category when the results are announced on 26th April at the IFOY Award night in Vienna, Austria.”
