PLASTIC MOUNTING CLAMPS FOR E-CHAINS ON COBOTS

Interaction between humans and machines is increasingly becoming the focus of automation, and collaborative robots, or cobots, are considered the future. These are mainly used as assistants in simple or interacting activities and - in contrast to large and fast industrial robots - work ‘hand in hand’ with humans.
Automation requires safe and reliable energy and data supply. For reliable energy and data supply, Treotham offers its igus triflex R multi-axis round e-chain range, distributed in Australia by Treotham. For safety, as humans work in close proximity to machines, igus has developed plastic mounting clamps to easily attach e-chains and minimise the risk of injury with their rounded edge design and quick installation. The clamps are quickly attached to the arm of the robot by a screw connection and the e-chain is simply attached to the clamps by a clip and fixed. They are suitable for cobots from Universal Robots, TMS and Kuka LBR iiwa robot arms.
The triflex R range has been specifically developed for sophisticated 6-axis robots in industrial environments. It ensures reliable cable guidance in multi-axis movements by combining the flexibility of a hose with the stability of an e-chain. A ball/socket mechanism ensures high tensile strength and easy installation of the e-chain. The interior separation is freely selectable and the circular bend radius stop and high twistability of the e-chain prevent over-stressing of cables, which increases the operational reliability and service life of the machine.
The range is available from Treotham as a complete package with cables, clamps and connectors ready for immediate installation.
