Nominations open for Plastics Industry Awards

The Australian plastics industry will honour its high achievers at the PlastixANZ Plastics Industry Achievement Awards on September 18.

PlastixANZ, the industry’s major news and information source, will host a special Awards dinner at Kooyong Lawn Tennis Club, Melbourne.

Two new categories have been added for this year’s event:

  • Manufactured in Australia
  • Manufactured in New Zealand

Both awards will be sponsored by Comtec IPE.

Nominations are now open for all categories.

Plastic Industry Achievement Awards 2013 categories and sponsors include:

Duromer Plastics Industry Achievement Award for Export

Recognises companies that have achieved sustained business export growth

Steinert Australia Plastics Industry Achievement Award for Environment

Recognising outstanding effort to increase the awareness for and management of the environment

BASF Australia Plastics Industry Achievement Award for Design & Innovation

Recognising break-through design and innovation in the plastics industry, creative successful design of plastic/s components or use of technology.

Australian Vinyls Plastics Industry Achievement Award for Manufacturing and Best Practice Award

Recognising best manufacturing practices, process and productivity improvement

Applied Machinery Plastics Industry Achievement Award for Marketing/Distribution

Recognising creative and efficient methods for marketing, distribution and supply chain management and process improvement.

Kangan Institute Plastics Industry Encouragement Award

To encourage continuing development in the plastics industry.

ComtecIPE – Manufactured in Australia Award

To recognise manufacture of raw materials, equipment plus plastic products and plastic components manufactured in Australia

ComtecIPE – Manufactured in NZ Award

To recognise manufacture of raw materials, equipment plus plastic products and plastic components manufactured in New Zealand
