Growing demand for tools and equipment across the Northern Rivers and the Tweed Valley has seen Kennards Hire open up shop in Tweed Heads. As Australia’s leading hire group with over 170 branches and sites across the country and New Zealand, Kennards Hire is expanding to meet the needs of DIYers and tradies in the area, supplying them with what they don’t have sitting in their own sheds and utes.

The 2000m2 drive-through branch stocks the best in general hire tools and equipment, with loads of gear handy for the ongoing recovery works following area’s recent floods, which Anthony Matfin, the branch’s Serviceperson Driver, experienced first-hand, having to sleep in his van when he got stuck on his way home to Casuarina one night during the floods.

Area Manager for Kennards Hire, Steve Le Prou is excited to bring much-needed tools and speciality equipment to the company’s Tweed Heads branch: the most northerly in NSW, and most southerly in south-east Queensland.

“Soon we’ll also stock specialist ranges such as concrete care, pump and power, traffic, lift and shift, and test and measure, to name a few,” said Steve.

The team at the new branch come with stacks of industry experience. Headed up by Branch Manager Derek Shore, who has been with Kennards Hire for 15 years, Assistant Manager Kyle Taylor, Maintenance Controller Kris Arnell and Serviceperson Driver Anthony Matfin completing the team, they will be able to assist any hirer with their needs no matter what the situation.

Their newest innovation, 'mobility hire', allows you to literally drive through, digitally sign the hire contract on a tablet and be out the other side within minutes, loaded up with the gear you need, Steve explains.

“As a drive-through ‘mobility’ hire site, this makes it really convenient for everyone. And, for tradies in a rush, they can book online and simply drive through to get what they need on the way to the job”, says Steve.

While they are still adding more equipment to their offering, the range at the new Tweed Heads Kennards Hire site presents a complete one-stop-shop for any DIY job, tradie or clean-up works.

"Our team is looking forward to supporting locals with all their hire needs, assisting tradies and workers with essential equipment and being part of the local community," added Steve Le Prou.

The new Tweed Heads branch is located at 1/20 Machinery Drive, Tweed Heads, next door to Jayco Caravans. With opening times 7 days, from 6.30am to 5pm on Monday to Friday and 7am - 4pm on weekends, a smart website to pre-hire and the new drive-through mobility hire, it could not be easier - no matter what is needed.

Kennards Hire Tweed Heads can be reached on 07 5513 2000 or kennards.com.au.
