14-02-2019

Mouser Electronics has released the latest issue of its Methods technology and solutions eZine. The first issue of vol 3, Design Trends and the Transformation of Everything, includes a wide range of articles by thought leaders and subject-matter experts on issues relevant to the Internet of Things, including practical applications in the Industrial IoT, a survey of IoT development kits and IoT contributions to sustainable engineering.

It is introduced by a foreword by Sam George, Director of Microsoft Azure IoT Engineering, offering a high-level overview of the technologies discussed in the articles. It also includes an interview with Ladyada about MicroPython and a piece by “The Wizard of Make” Bob Martin on innovation to productisation. Rounding it out is a look at what’s after Moore’s law, the observation that the number of transistors in an integrated circuit doubles about every two years.

“Both hardware and software engineering have reached a turning point, supported by transformational design technologies,” says Kevin Hess, Mouser’s Senior Vice-President of Marketing. “The newest issue of Methods offers expert insight and perspectives on these trends, illustrating how new technologies like 5G and augmented reality will revolutionise engineering and development.”
