Multiple Devices? - Bring in Turck's ISD for maximum safety

29-08-2021

As machines become more complex, they need more safety devices. But eventually the extra costs become prohibitive, and this can lead to dangerous shortcuts. Enter Banner Engineering with their In-Series Diagnostics, or ISD.

ISD is exclusive to Banner, which is distributed by Turck, and It allows you to connect up to 32 safety devices into a single input of any Banner ISD capable safety controller.

When a safety sensor is operated, the system receives an alert which identifies which device has tripped and can also include location information, making troubleshooting a breeze.

Substantial diagnostic information is also available to identify things like safety switches that are near to tripping, allowing potential issues to be addressed before your machine shuts down.

Adapters are available to include non ISD safety devices into the ISD system.

ISD saves cost, simplifies installation and reduces troubleshooting downtime.
