INCREMENTAL ENCODER TESTER AND SIMULATOR COME TOGETHER

12-12-2018

With almost 40 years of experience in applications of incremental shaft encoders, Plant Control & Automation has developed a number of instruments for both testing and simulating these complex devices.

Now the company has put all this expertise into one instrument: the EncoderLab is both an incremental encoder tester and simulator combined into one housing.

For manufacturers and high-volume users of incremental encoders, the instrument can test all aspects of the device to verify correct operation before entering service.

And when used as a simulator during commissioning of control systems, the EncoderLab removes the need to have an encoder mechanically driven during testing of equipment.

It can also be used to test or simulate any other instrument that produces square wave output signals, such as a linear encoder or flow meter.

The EncoderLab is fully self-contained for stand-alone operation or it can be operated using PC software for additional reporting capabilities.
