New to Alfa Laval’s range of mixing machines is its LeviMag, which delivers low-shear mixing, gentle treatment of the product and easy cleaning.

These magnetic mixers are capable of operating at a broad range of speeds, and feature a specially designed four-wing impeller that delivers high pumping efficiency.

This safeguards the integrity of the product, provides full drainability and ensures efficient mixing to keep the product homogeneous to the last drop because the mixer can be run dry. The open mixer design enables full coverage during cleaning-in-place, making the removal of product residues more efficient.

A significant advantage is the ease and convenience of servicing. Levitating bearings contribute to more uptime, improved product safety and reduced costs. High-strength stress-tolerant male bearings minimise the generation of wear particles that can contaminate the product.

A special version in the range, the Alfa Laval LeviMag UltraPure, complies with the stringent requirements for operation in the most demanding sterile applications, such as biotech and pharmaceutical manufacturing.

The mixer comes with a comprehensive documentation package, Alfa Laval Q-doc. To assist in validation, qualification and change control, it provides full transparency of sourcing, production and supply chains, from raw material to delivered product, and also ensures full traceability of all product contact parts.
