HYBRID SAFETY I/O MODULE COMBINES ETHERNET/IP WITH CIP SAFETY

By combining standard and safety outputs in a single module, hybrid safety block I/O modules simplify machine design. The latest addition to the Turck range of hybrid safety block I/O modules is the TBIP, which combines Ethernet/IP with CIP Safety.

The module’s I/O points can be configured using IO-Link, making it easy to adapt to each installation, and the safety functions can be configured and tested without connecting to a safety PLC.

There are two safety inputs for connecting safety sensors such as light curtains or emergency-stop buttons, and two additional safety channels can be used either as inputs or outputs.

Each of the four universal I/Os can switch up to 2A, and two of the I/Os can also be connected as IO-Link masters.

The modules feature a wide operating temperature range and ingress protection up to IP69K, so they can be used on-machine in the most demanding industrial environments.
