ETHERNET MEDIA CONVERSION BETWEEN COPPER AND FIBRE NETWORKS

Schmidt Electronics’ Ethernet media convertors are designed for operation in harsh industrial or outdoor environments and operating temperatures from -40 to +75°C. They are housed in small, rugged multi-purpose enclosures that can be mounted on a wall or DIN rail, and are suitable for IP surveillance, traffic monitoring and security applications in critical environments with space constraints.
The convertors support both switch mode and convertor mode operation, with advanced functions such as link fault pass-through and far end fault functions on the fibre (FX) port, and transient suppression on the RJ45 (TX) port.
They can be powered from an AC or DC power source. Screw terminals allow 18 to 36V AC or 12 to 60V DC to be connected directly to the unit.
