Foodpro, one of Asia-Pacific’s largest food manufacturing events, opens in Melbourne for the first time next week.
Held every three years, this year’s event will feature more than 300 exhibitors showcasing every aspect of the food and beverage processing industry.
The event is divided into four key precincts; Food Science & Technology, Packaging, Processing Machinery and Plant Equipment. This includes processing technology, ingredients, additives and testing equipment.
Two new additions to this year’s foodpro include free educational seminars and workshops for attendees and the Victorian Government’s Business Lounge, where businesses interested in doing business in the host state can access Government education and support.
The seminars which run over two days (Monday and Tuesday) cover a range of topics such as exporting within the dairy industry, research and development, marketing fresh ready made meals, the process of paddock to plate and how technology can help.
- Charles McElhone, Group Manager – Trade and Industry Strategy, Dairy Australia, Dairy Industry Association of Australia
- Phil Clarke, Deputy Chief of Operations, CSIRO and
- Paul McGuire, Marketing Manager Darfresh and Ready Meals, Sealed Air.
All seminar sessions are 40 minutes and will include question and answer time at the end, with the exception of the first session on Monday, which will be 90 minutes.
At foodpro 2014, SEW-EURODRIVE (Stand U9), a leader in drive engineering, will showcase a broad range of products and services for the food and beverage industry. This includes gearmotors, drive electronics as well as service, support and training.
A highlight will be the MOVIGEAR mechatronic high efficiency drive unit.
