New from Omron, the S8VK-X series of power supplies incorporates EtherNet/IP and Modbus TCP-compatible communication together with monitoring software that allows users to centrally monitor and control multiple supplies. This facility enables predictive maintenance, maximising uptime and reducing overall maintenance costs.

The free power supply monitoring tool can be operated simply by connecting the S8VK-X to a personal computer via an Ethernet cable. In addition to collectively displaying and saving data and displaying graphs, the software allows users to check the PSU status in real time on a derating chart and to simulate the effects of capacity changes.

The PSUs include a power boost function (120% up to 120W, 150% for 240W and 480W) for applications that require higher startup currents.

The S8VK-X series supplies are particularly compact, and can be mounted side-by-side in a panel using a specially designed DIN-rail mounting clip. Operating temperature range is a wide -40 to + 70°C, providing increased environmental resistance and a wide window for stable equipment operation.
