COMPUTER MODULES SUIT INTERFACES AND MACHINE CONTROLS

Mouser Electronics has secured a global distribution agreement with Kontron, covering a range of computers-on-modules (COMs), including COM Express modules based on Intel Atom E3900 series, Pentium processor N4200, and Celeron processor N3350.

The COMe-cAL6 series are COM Express Type 6 modules that combine state-of-the-art image processing and graphics capabilities with extensive real-time computing. The modules are available in dual- and quad-core versions for applications, such as digital signage, human-machine interfaces, and industrial machinery.

The COMe-mAL10 series of credit card-sized COMs come with up to 8Gbyte of DDR3L memory. The IoT-ready modules maximise graphics and processing performance in a robust energy-efficient Type 10 COM mini form factor. The integrated Intel Gen 9 HD low-power graphics controller provides 4K encode/decode algorithms supporting HEVC, H.264 and VP8/VP9 formats.

Kontron’s SMARC-sAMX7 modules use a low-power NXP Semiconductors i.MX 7 processor, available in both single- and dual-core configurations, to enable development of smart devices in a fanless, compact SMARC 2.0 form factor. The highly scalable modules balance processor and graphics performance while retaining a very low energy footprint, making them ideal for IoT applications. The modules offer up to 2Gbyte of DDR3L and 8Gbyte of eMMC, with up to two Gigabit Ethernet, three PCIe, and four USB 4.0 ports.
