Oxford is Australia’s largest privately owned cold storage operator, providing quality warehousing and distribution solutions.

The company has vast experience in the handling of chilled, frozen and ambient temperature products and offers its clients a broad range of products.

Oxford recently completed a major expansion at its main site in Melbourne, now Australia’s largest cold storage complex.

When it came to installing a door system at the new complex, the choice was simple.

Albany’s ASSA ABLOY Entrance Systems (AAES) were able to provide the complete entrance solution.

Since a trial installation was conducted in early 2012 of the Albany Thermafreeze High Performance Door, it has become Oxford’s preferred product for all freezer door requirements.

This is due to its high operating speeds, insulated curtain material and knock-out capability.

Following the trial an additional 15 Thermafreeze doors were installed throughout the site, including the new freezer expansion.

AAES was also able to provide Oxford with 11 Crawford Insulated Sectional Doors (342) and TODDCO Dock Levellers and Shelters.

Andrew Bykersma, State Manager Victoria – HPDS said: “This is a fantastic marquee installation site to showcase the AAES solution.

“The ability for us to provide all this equipment from the one supplier was key to us securing this customers business. It also provides us with a great site to show future customers.”

Oxford’s management believes that state-of-the-art technology development is an essential element in providing the best possible service to customers.

AAES was able to provide this through their broad product portfolio.
