Etherline PN Cat7 cable

Lapp is expanding its Etherline series of cables with new Profinet compatible Cat7 variants designed for secure high-speed data transfer in industrial environments.

There are five types of Etherline PN Cat7 cables. Three are for static installations: flame-retardant with a PVC sheath; halogen-free and flame-retardant with an FRNC sheath; and a more mechanically robust version with a PUR sheath that is halogen-free and flame-retardant. Two variants for flexible installations offer a choice of a flame-retardant PVC sheath or a halogen-free and flame-retardant FRNC sheath.

These new cables are suitable for machine building, plant infrastructure or as network infrastructure for any application in which large amounts of data are transferred, such as those using high-resolution cameras.

All types are specified for 10Gbit/s datarates at 600MHz transmission frequency, in compliance with the Cat7 specification. This ensures performance and transmission reliability, even if cables become damaged or age during use. And, as they comply fully with the Profinet standard, they are suitable for use in all global markets.
