BACKPLANE SYSTEMS TECHNOLOGY RELEASES IB909: ENERGY EFFICIENT COMPACT SBC

Backplane Systems Technology has launched iBase’s new IB909 Series, a 3.5-inch disk size SBC with integrated 5th Generation Intel® Core™ i U-series processors.

The IB909 Series offers a selection of Intel processors manufactured on 14nm process technology namely, the Intel® Core™ i7-5650U running 2.2GHz, the Intel® Core™ i5-5350U 1.8GHz processor and the Intel® Core™ i3-5010U 2.1GHz processor.

With these new integrated Intel HD graphics, the IB909 is designed to deliver enhanced video and stunning 3D graphics performance. The IB909 industrial board supports two display interfaces: A DVI-I and a 24-bit dual channel LVDS. This embedded board also supports Intel AMT 10.0 for remote control functionality.

The new IB909 offers excellent computing performance, low power consumption and utilizes hyperthreading technology with 2 logical threads per physical core that improves the performance of multi-threaded applications.

The IB909 measures a mere 102mm x 147mm and supports up to 16GB of memory in two DDR3L-1600 SO-DIMM sockets. The IB909 features two Gigabit high-speed LAN ports, Watchdog timer, Digital I/O, mSATA and IBASE’s iSMART green technology. Advanced connectivity comes in two USB 3.0 ports, two USB 2.0 ports, two serial ports, two SATA III ports and two Mini PCI-E slots. 

The IB909 single board computer is the ideal solution for applications in factory automation, medical, kiosk and networking markets, providing excellent performance and energy efficiency, as well as improved 3D graphics than previous-generation counterparts.
