ABRASION-RESISTANT SLIDING PLATES PROVIDE DESIGN OPTIONS

High-performance igus plastics from Treotham are in demand wherever freedom from lubricant, corrosion and maintenance is required, including the glass industry, food technology and special mechanical engineering.

Treotham has more than 50 high-performance igus polymers in its product range as plain bearings, for a wide variety of applications, and also offers 27 as bar stock. Customers can mill custom solutions and small batches themselves or order them from Treotham.

To give users even more freedom when designing wear-resistant special solutions, Treotham now also stocks five materials as highly abrasion-resistant plate strips 160mm wide and 15mm thick: the classic iglidur W300, the cost-effective J4, the FDA-compliant A500, the high-temperature endurance runner C500, and the specialist for temperatures up to 180°C, the J350.

The plate strips are manufactured in a newly built production facility in Cologne, Germany. In-house development and production are ongoing, and further materials will be available in the future in different thicknesses and lengths up to 2m.
