The Furnace Engineering Degass Filter Furnace combines the functions of degassing and filtering of molten aluminium in a single freestanding unit. It is specially designed for in-line metal flow operations. The unit is insulated, heated and robustly constructed from mild steel.

The molten metal enters the degassing chamber before flowing out through the filter section. The inlet and outlet are designed to fit the standard launder sections.

The heating elements hold the metal in a molten state continuously to improve the filtering process and prolonging life of the equipment.

Key Improvements & Features.

  • The heating elements have an improved glow bar design.
  • Unique heating system design to prevent high current in the elements until the air temperature is above the preset value to prevents thermal shock to new or cold elements.
  • Enhanced control system to boost voltage to older glow bar
  • When molten metal is flowing, the control will alternate between roof and bath automatically.
