  • Metaza MPX-90 Impact Printer
The MPX-90 is Roland's latest, most powerful impact printer ever, capable of printing on harder materials than any of our previous models.

In addition to serving the kiosk, gift and jewellery markets, the MPX-90 is ideally suited for industrial marking applications including the production of serial number plates and data plates.

It can also be used for medical and industrial tool identification and marking.

For the industrial market, the MPX-90 is among the industry's lowest cost marking solutions. With three times the force of the previous MPX model, the MPX-90 precisely imprints text, graphics and other data on hard surfaces including non-plated and unpolished materials.

Variable data printing capabilities enable users to automatically apply unique identification numbers to each item in a series.

The MPX-90 is also ideal for retailers and other businesses specialising in personalisation. In addition to flat items like pendants, dog tags, key chains and Zippo™ lighters, the MPX-90 takes personalisation to the next level by customising curved objects like pens, cuff links and money clips.

Quiet and compact, the MPX-90 imprints text, graphics and photographic images without leaving any residue behind, making it ideal for retail environments.

The MPX-90 features automatic surface detection, a center vice, USB connectivity and a user-replaceable print head cartridge. MetazaStudio, SFEdit2, MPX-90 Head Manager, Dr. Engrave software and a Windows driver are included.

The MPX-90 is compatible with popular design programs including Adobe Illustrator, CorelDRAW and Photoshop.

Personalising Gifts and Accessories

As Roland's fifth-generation Impact Printer, the MPX-90 is also perfect for retailers looking to add value to ordinary gifts and accessories. The MPX-90 can personalise both flat and curved giftware like pens, cuff links and money clips. The desktop device uses a head cap to allow curved surfaces to be imprinted. A center vice helps keep items secure during production.

Low-Cost Industrial Marking

As one of the industry's lowest cost industrial marking solutions, the MPX-90 delivers precision results at a fraction of the cost of traditional systems.

The MPX-90 is ideally suited for the production of serial number plates, data plates and for medical and industrial tool identification/marking, offering three times the force of the previous model.

The MPX-90 quickly and precisely imprints the smallest of text and graphics on hard metal surfaces including non-plated and unpolished materials. Variable data printing capabilities make it easy to apply unique identification numbers to each item in a series.

Exceptional Results

Based on the Roland Photo Marking System (RPMS), the MPX-90 uses a durable diamond-tipped stylus to imprint on a wide range of surfaces including iron, stainless steel, titanium, gold, silver, copper, platinum, brass, aluminium, nickel and acrylic.

This innovative system strikes the surface to be marked with high speed and precision to reproduce the most delicate gradations of your original design and the smallest of typefaces.

The results are exceptional with graphics and fonts that really pop. With the MPX-90, you can mix in photos and vector designs for added creativity.

Faster Throughput

The MPX-90 is approximately 21% faster than the previous model for vector mode printing, enabling quick, easy production.

Four Different Print Modes

The MPX-90's diamond-tipped stylus produces brilliant, photorealistic graphics in four different modes: text mode produces 265 dpi output, photo mode achieves 353 dpi and high resolution mode delivers 529 dpi.

There is also a vector mode which imprints at 1058 dpi for delicate script or bold filled lettering.

Imprints Items of Virtually Any Length

The MPX-90 features a fixed X-axis table which allows users to insert items of virtually any length when the machine's cover is open.

This feature enables users to imprint serial numbers anywhere along the edge of a product or personalise larger gift items such as photo frames or awards.

Easy to Use

With a USB port, the MPX-90 sets up as easily as a desktop printer. Once you are up and running, you'll be ready to imprint in just three quick steps: Import text or images, layout and edit your graphics, and then print.

Meteza Studio Software

The MPX-90 comes with Metaza Studio. The photo editing software imports data files in AI, EPS, JPEG or BMP format and accepts data from digital cameras and compatible scanners. It even helps manage images.

Users can add text, frames and borders, remove backgrounds, and rotate text and images. It also supports vector graphics which allows for faster, more precise production of text and line art.

Dr Engrave Software

Dr. Engrave is easy-to-use engraving software that produces professional results. Dr. Engrave is capable of inputting various types of text and bitmap images and supports industry standard True Type fonts.

The software also comes with a built-in single stroke font editor (SFEdit). SFEdit can convert any Windows True Type font into a stroke font that improves engraving speeds and allows the user to engrave smaller text without any type of overlap or bleed.

Dr. Engrave supports variable data printing using .CSV or .TXT files imported into a template. This feature enables automated serialisation and data plate production.

Compact and Fully Enclosed

Compact and fully enclosed, the MPX-90 impact printer runs quietly and safely in any jewellery store, gift shop, photography studio or manufacturing/industrial environment. It can also be easily moved for producing souvenirs at special events such as weddings, baseball games and pet shows.
