Bestech Australia presents the high performance single axis surface mount analogue accelerometers from Silicon Designs .
These accelerometers are integrated for use in zero to medium frequency instrumentation applications at a low-cost.
Each miniature, hermetically sealed package combines a micro-machined capacitive sense element and a custom integrated circuit that includes a sense amplifier and differential output stage.
The Model 1521 low noise analogue ±4V differetial output accelerometer and is designed to support the harsh conditions of down hole drilling, and the 2g version is ideally suited for seismic applicaitons. It is relatively insensitive to temperature changes and gradients. Each device is marked with a serial number on its bottom surface for traceability. An optional calibration test sheet (1521-TST) is also available which lists the measured bias, scale factor, linearity, operating current and frequency response.
Other analog models are available with measuring ranges varying from ±2g to ±400g. These devices can survive a 2000-5000g shock for 0.1ms. Non-linearity is typically 0.15-0.7% of the span. The operating temperature of the unit is -55 to 125°C, and the accelerometer is relatively insensitive to temperature changes and gradients.
