Benefits:
Powerful and robust
The optimum solution for your application! Thanks to the various servo motors you will always find the right motor for your specific application. All motors are characterised by their robustness and dynamics.
An overview of the benefits:
- High dynamics and torque stability
- Excellent ratio between torque/moment of inertia
- Extremely quiet operation in all speed ranges
- Smooth operation at low speed
- High reliability even in extreme working conditions
- High resolution absolute value encoder for highest performance and absolute positioning
The excellent controllability of the PMCtendo AC motors is achieved using the high resolution absolute encoder as a feedback system. Through this you can read out the absolute position of the motors during operation. Even when the machine has been switched off or there is a power failure, the absolute position will still be available.
If you cannot find a suitable motor for your application in the standard range, we would be happy to provide you with a customised solution.
Would you like some help with your motor layout? Pilz can help; we can work with you to define the whole power transmission system.

Features:
An overview of the features
Take advantage of the excellent controllability and high dynamics of the servo motors PMCtendo AC. The motors have the following features:
- 3-phase servo motors with rare earth permanent magnets
- Feedback with built-in 2-pole standard resolver or optional high resolution absolute encoder system
- Connection:
- Sizes 21-33: Straight plug on the housing - Sizes 51-AB: Power on terminal board in the terminal box (EMC connection available), plug for resolver
- Flange: IM B5 (V1, V3), flange type A in accordance with IEC 72-1, j6 fit, “increased” accuracy in accordance with DIN 42955
- Vibration class “R” in accordance with ISO 2373
- Balancing with half feather key
- Protection type: IP44 (size 2X), IP65 (sizes 3X, 5X, 6X, 7X, AX), with shaft seal ring
- Shaft with feather key (k6 fit)
- Thermal switch 140 °C (N/C contact)
- RAL 9005 coating (matt black)
To secure the position when the power is off, the motors can be fitted with backlash-free permanent magnet holding brakes as an option. The brake cannot be retrofitted, however.
Initial technical information is available under the PMCtendo AC product range.

Diagnostics:
Process data under control - Including monitoring
Status indicators, error messages and warnings from the motor are available via the servo amplifier PMCtendo DD.
Or you can work with the extensive commissioning and diagnostics software. This provides explicit details about current operating status and any error messages on your PMCtendo AC motor. You can read out the process data and have your motor monitored at the same time.
