Lisa Parkinson was appointed as the General Manager of New Business Development in May 2007 and has been in the transport industry for over 15 years gaining her experience with some of the multinational transport giants in the industry. AirRoad created the role to link Lisa’s experience and expertise in developing and supporting the national sales team. In the past, AirRoad has organically grown the business based on word of mouth referrals reaped by delivering great service.
Lisa has an impressive track record in transport, starting in 1993 as a territory Sales Executive, one of only two females from a pool of ten. Lisa spent many years as an Account Manager managing a customer portfolio in excess of $65million with some of the multinational transport players. This role developed Lisa’s strategic account management skills which she brings to AirRoad in her consultancy approach to managing customer’s transport, logistics and supply chain requirements.
As a true pioneer in opening opportunities in transport by employing and training more females into the industry – employing 55% female field executives. Lisa stated, "AirRoad is such a great company to work for with a genuine continuous improvement of culture led from top to bottom. In her past employment in transport sales, Lisa conveyed that if she was up against AirRoad on a quote or tender she knew she was in for a tough challenge. Whilst AirRoad would not be the cheapest in rates quoted, their reputation and DIFOT metrics exceeded other industry players. Lisa is already enjoying a huge pipeline of multinational and large public companies wanting to partner with AirRoad Group.
