Pronto delivers ‘next generation’ software for Australian manufacturing industry

Australian developer Pronto Software has introduced the new PRONTO-Xi Dimensions – an innovative product that brings together ERP transactions and BI Analytics in a unified, out-of-the-box solution.

PRONTO-Xi Dimensions is the next generation smart ERP solution that will transform the way businesses work and receive information.

Quick to implement and easy to use, the new release responds to key market needs including instant insight into business performance for faster, smarter decision making for all employees.

Embedding the powerful IBM Cognos BI suite, PRONTO-Xi Dimensions enables manufacturers to manage large volumes of data and access real time analytics to understand key business drivers and influence business outcomes.

According to Stuart Gunst, the Finance Director of global cookware manufacturer Meyer Cookware, a key factor for selecting PRONTO-Xi was the integration of IBM’s latest business intelligence (BI) suite, IBM Cognos 10, into its forthcoming release.

“When we made our final decision, Pronto had just confirmed it was going to be the first
ERP vendor to embed IBM Cognos 10 out of the box.”

“We were excited at the fact that Pronto developers were doing all the integration work for us, which will give us the ability to slice and dice our data and provide greater visibility of how our business is performing,” explained Stuart. “Our aim is to upgrade our software in the next 18 months to have access to this added functionality.”

“When planning for this release more than one and a half years ago, we envisioned a product that’s not just a logical extension of the success we’ve built so far, but a breakthrough solution that will make our ERP engine smarter and create greater access to knowledge, to enable customers to innovate and differentiate,” says Pronto Software Managing Director David Jackman.

“PRONTO-Xi Dimensions gives users the ability to harness the intelligence from the ERP system to run their business efficiently and extend data to actionable insights. It offers unparalleled ease of use, with personalisation capabilities to help our customers be agile and gain end-to-end business process excellence. This in turn reduces costs and returns the business a healthier profit,” says Jackman.

As an on-premise or Software-as-a-Service offering, PRONTO-Xi Dimensions delivers unmatched value and rapid ROI for manufacturers.

With PRONTO-Xi Dimensions, every user has access to a new, intuitive user interface (UI) with a high level of personalisation.

This UI makes it easy to define personalised workspaces, look and feel, and provides full access to the web for collaborative networking and intelligence sharing.

Manufacturers also now have access to the following enhanced features:

  • Multiple Bill of Materials provides full functionality for manufacturers to optimise the same product in different locations for costing, materials, work centres and routings and giving users full control of the process
  • Multi-Factory costing to optimise manufacturing in multiple locations and countries.

PRONTO-Xi Dimensions will be available in May this year. A beta version is currently available for Pronto Software customers.
