Miller by Sperian, a leader in personal protective equipment (PPE), has released a new addition to its fall protection range – the Miller Miners harness.
A full body harness the Miller Miners harness is available in an underground or a surface version and both are manufactured from a new heavy duty and lightweight 43mm Duraclean webbing.
The Duraclean webbing is treated with a coating which forms an invisible barrier around the webbing preventing water, oil and dirt from being absorbed in to the webbing and helping to prolong the life of the harness.
The Duraclean models are engineered for use in both underground and surface applications and due to its construction, cleaning a harness with Duraclean webbing is
quick and easy.
There is also a flame resistant KMAX.4 vest style model, which is designed for above
ground welding applications.
A key feature of the Underground Miller Miners harness is the inclusion of the Prospector Miner’s Belt, which is designed specifically to carry emergency breathing apparatus and other tools. Incorporating a battery and self-rescuer strap, the belt allows users to wear their self rescue units at their side instead of the back, eliminating discomfort when sitting down, and ensuring worker safety compliance.
Other features of the underground and surface Miller Miners harness include a floating frontal D-ring as well as rear dorsal fall arrest and extension D-rings, confined space loops and full stainless steel components.
The Miller Miners harness is certified to AS/NSZ 1891.1 2007 standards.
