Big changes planned for MATEX 2009

Visitors to MATEX 2009 at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre can expect an exciting new format.

Exhibition and Trade Fairs (ETF) is planning some big changes for the trade show to be held from July 23-25.

Organisers have gone back to basics and created an entirely new exhibition for the Supply Chain and Logistics industry, says event director Paul Mathers.

Armed with a fresh new look and a broader scope, the new MATEX will be Australia’s only “full-service” exhibition for the Supply Chain and Logistics industry.

“Exhibitor response to the new format has been extremely positive, despite the exhibitions troubled past, Mr Mathers said.

“Already a number of key exhibitors have begun to commit and even more new companies who have never exhibited in previous MTAEX’s shown strong interest
in participating,” he said.

This year’s exhibitors include Advanced Warehouse Solutions, Mil-Tek Australia, Fork-Safe International, Orwak Australia, Reed Business Information and Tyres 4 U.

“The new MATEX is simply not a rehash of the old exhibition with a bandaid approach and a new marketing campaign, said Mr Mathers.

“This is the birth of a new concept and new direction for MATEX which is guaranteed to appeal to key buyers in the entire Supply Chain and Logistics industry.”
