Aussie Pumps is turning Japanese

The world’s largest manufacturer of submersible pumps, Tsurumi Manufacturing Company Ltd has appointed Australian Pump Industries as sole distributor for Australia and Papua New Guinea.

The partnership between Australian Pump and Tsurumi brings Australian consumers top quality products backed by first class after sales service.

Tsurumi Pump boasts a long, proud history.

Founded in Osaka in 1924, most of the company’s manufacturing is carried out in a
plant in Kyoto, Japan where the most advanced CIM (Computer Integrated Manufacturing) systems are used.

The advanced, robotic factory ensures consistency of quality, combined with cost effective manufacturing.

The Kyoto plant, ISO9001 certified since 1995, has the capacity to build 1 million submersible pumps a year.

Tsurumi operates branches throughout North America, Singapore, Europe, Malaysia and Taiwan.

The company’s products comprise a full range of dewatering pumps from light, single phase machines, up to huge submersible sand pumps, capable of flows of up to 250,000L per minute.

The company is a world leader in sewage pump development, having pioneered cutter pumps, vortex style pumps, and submersible aeration equipment for waste water applications.

“Australian Pump is the perfect partner for this great high tech Japanese manufacturer,” said Australian Pump Industries’ Managing Director, Warwick Lorenz.

“Their commitment to quality and value for money is in line with our policy of providing Australian consumers with nothing but the best product, backed by unbeatable aftermarket support,” he said.

Australian Pump Industries operate from a 2½ acre head office complex at Sydney’s boutique Norwest industrial area.

The company is a rising star in pump manufacturing and distribution in Australia, with a heavy emphasis on servicing the mining, construction and heavy industrial areas.

Mr Kamoda, International Division Managing Director of Tsurumi Pump recently visited
Australia to finalise the important appointment.

“We are very happy to have been able to substantially upgrade the distribution of Tsurumi Pumps in Australia by this association with Aussie Pumps.

“Consumers will benefit from top quality products at competitive prices backed by ready
aftermarket support Australia wide,” he said.
