TRIPLE SEALED JOYSTICK SWITCHES STAND THE TEST OF WASHDOWN

17-02-2017

The Schmersal RK and NK series of joystick switches available now from Control Logic feature a novel noncontact switching system that ensures long life. The easy-to-install systems use only a single central nut fixing mechanism, and are robustly constructed and suitable for hygienic applications.

The units are sealed from fluid ingress with up to three barrier layers. Therefore there is ample opportunity to replace a defective boot, should it become damaged, without danger of exposing the working mechanism.

NK joystick switches feature blue sealing material and a hygienic design without edges or corners, making them ideal for use in food processing applications. RK series devices are aimed at outdoor applications, and are capable of withstanding extreme environmental conditions, including exposure to high UV levels.

Both series of joystick switches are specified for ambient temperatures between -40 and +80°C. They are sealed to IP69K at the front panel and IP67 for the contact chamber, and so are compatible with standard washdown procedures.
